Centered on the family matriarch, this Día de los Muertos film celebrates the table as the heart of family tradition. Through lived-in details, familiar rituals and the warmth of generations gathering together, the piece turns an everyday family space into something deeply emotional and culturally meaningful.

A young man finds a breakup note written on a napkin at his kitchen table and immediately falls apart. Cue the Northgate carniceros, arriving like heroes with a spread of comfort food to help mend the damage. A playful reminder that good food may not fix a broken heart, but it can definitely make it hurt a little less.
